Static Routes Don't Seem To be Working was created by michaelferrie
Hello
I have a draytek vigor 2860, I have one WAN dsl interface which connects fine.
I have set up this
LAN 1 - 10.30.100.x/24 GW address 10.30.100.254 = has internet working fine INTERFACE 1
LAN 2 - 172.16.0.0/20 GW 172.16.15.254/20 = can ping the router on this network but no Internet. INTERFACE 6
I want hosts on LAN 2 to be able to connect to the internet so I set up a static route, or tried to
Network 172.16.0.0 mask 255.255.240.0 gateway 10.30.100.254. LAN1
basically I want packets from LAN 2 destined for the internet to use LAN1 as a gateway.
Am I doing this the wrong way ?

If there are both interfaces born from the same router then you shouldn't need any static routes.
Otherwise you will need to enable inter-VLAN routing and then lock it down in the firewall.
