Shared Internet protection was created by craggyp
Hi
We are moving in to a managed office with a shared internet connection via a switch, therefore we need a security device to protect our network. Currently we use the Untangle system on a PC, but I want to down size and simplify this due to limited room, but not sure exactly what we need. There are a maximum of 4 users in our office using Office 365 for mail, NAS for file storage/CRM and a cloud based accounts package. We also have VoIP lines.
Any assistance/advice would be appreciated.

Guess it depends on how fast the shared connection is....
Anything with a WAN port could be used (2820, 2860, 2925.....). Do you have any existing Draytek equipment?
shared switch <
> vigor WAN port <----> vigor LAN ports / other switch <----> client PCs

Hi mbanes
We don't have any existing DrayTek kit, but I used to use their routers about 5-6 years ago for a number of clients.

In that case, it just depends on your budget!
I picked up a 2925 for home use off ebay, but I guess the slightly more user-to-date & business version is the 2952.... But a low spec PC running pfsense could be just as good.... (although slightly more electricity-hungry!)
