Can't login in to web admin was created by aweaton
I thought I'd share this little trick...
Due to me being an idiot I created a firewall set which stopped me from being able to administer my Vigor 2860 via a web browser. Despite my best efforts I was not able to get around the issue. The error I received was
I deduced if I disabled the default data filter I would then be able to login. To do this type at a SSH prompt:
You should then have web admin access. I thought I'd share this for anyone else that might be an idiot:lol:
You can then correct and re-enable your data filters in Firewall >> General Setup

I don't think my problem is the same as I haven't created a firewall rule but I find I can't access the web page on my Vigor 2860 intermittently and don't know why.
I get the following error:
404 Not Found !!!
The requested URL was not found on this server.
The strange thing is that I get this error on my macbook but not on my iMac connected to the same network. Also, I get it if I use Safari or Firefox but not Chrome which accesses the normal log-in dialog.
In the past when it has happened, it has spontaneously cleared after a few days.
I am puzzled

I have solved it by accessing http://192.168.1.1/weblogin.htm instead of http://192.168.1.1/

Hi, I am using a Draytek 2820VN and for some reason after a number of hours, I lose the ability to login via http://192.168.1.1/weblogin.htm . I believe this is since I updated the firmware.
However, I don't want to start rolling firmware without understanding if any members have experienced the same.
Once I lose access, it is total no matter what system or device I try to access from.
Any advice, comment, greatly appreciated
Regards
Bungy
