Limiting bandwidth without destroying upload was created by hansfords
My setup is a Vigor 2860n-plus with 2 VigorAP 900s. My son has a number of devices attached over WiFi to one of the AP 900s and most nights he uploads a vlog to YouTube from his Microsoft Surface. When he does that, access to the Internet for the rest of the online devices grinds to a halt. I have tried limiting bandwidth for his Surface but, when I do, it just seems to fry his upload so that it never seems to complete. Why isn't the bandwidth being shared among the various devices and can someone advise on the best way to limit bandwidth for upload and download so that they can complete in a reasonable time without blocking all other devices? The 2860 is currently showing an Up Speed of 1465 (Kbps) and a Down Speed of 12707 (Kbps).
Thanks

By that I mean, I know the router supports it under Bandwidth Management (p477 of manual), I'm just not sure how to go about it.
