Changing IP of switch with vlan was created by msimonds
Hoping someone can help me, we have a couple VigorSwitch G2240 running on our network and currently planning a network reshuffle.
The switches have a very simple vlan running but we would like to change the static IP of the devices..... they are currently .10-.18 and a class c subnet but want to change them to .30-.38
Would this cause any issues on the vlans or am i just over thinking this?

if they are on the same subnet it wont cause any issue as long as there are no conflicts

I would always do this Out of Hours, the steps I would use are; backup config, change IP (save), reboot switch, let it settle for about 5 min then check it out...should be fine.....
alternatively....if you have a DHCP server set it to BIND MAC, and then you can re-assign at your leisure.....
