Vigor 3900 was created by tony_horizon
Hello,
I have just purchased a Vigor 3900 as I have installed another Internet point in my Small Office. Previously I had a Vigor 2830 and 2 Internet connections (WANs) but now with the 3rd I have upgraded to the 3900 to use 3 of its WAN ports.
On my old 2830 I was able to force all traffic from specified a local IP through a specific WAN, but I cant find the option to do this on the 3900.
What I am trying to achieve is have WAN1 *specifically* for 1 computer in the office (my Exchange Server) - it doesnt need to fail over to any of the others.
Then I need WAN2 and WAN3 to serve the rest of the office (via a network switch) - they can naturally Load Balance, but they must not fail over to WAN1 (I like that to be isolated for my exchange server so thats it external IP does not end up blacklisted if any office computers are infected with malware etc)
Is this possible on the 3900? It was quite simple to do on the 2830, but i honestly can't see where to set it up on the 3900.
Many thanks.

Hi Tony
Yes it is possible. Make sure your running latest firmware (1.2.0) first
Its under Routing / Policy Route
In there create an IP object for your exchange server and then you can create a rule to make it use a specific WAN connection outbound.
Just set the "Outgoing Interface" to the WAN port you want, and destination type to "Any" but you could restrict to just say SMTP traffic and SSL traffic for OWA etc
I've done the same for our exchange environment
Hope that helps
