2860 cannot connect on Plusnet VDSL was created by steven_w
Hi all, I'm pulling my hair out on a job for a customer. I have installed many 2860 routers without issue. I have been on to Plusnet support today to double check everything is configured correctly within the routers setup, all fine. DNS checked, all OK. Device achieves showtime, then achieves connection to Plusnet network which was seen & verified by Plusnet technician on the phone, however I cannot browse any pages. I cannot ping any external IP addresses whatsoever.
Settings are default in the router except the following:
VDSL tag insertion enabled, value at 101.
Set to PPPoE/VC Muc (0-38), MTU 1492
Customers network username & password put in & verified as working.
Really can't suss out what I'm doing wrong & typically Draytek support is closed today!
Anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks...

No I need to go back today and call Draytek support while in front of it, I'll post back once I know what the problem is!

So after 20 minutes on the phone with Draytek support, as a last ditch effort he said to turn off hardware acceleration which worked! I've never had that before. I've got another one to install next week on same service so we'll see how that goes!

Just in case anyone else looks at this as they are on Plusnet, I can only assume the DSLAM in the exchange is on different equipment to the one I set up yesterday on Plusnet fibre, as it took about 45 seconds using the exact same settings!
Just use the wizard & ensure you select VDSL tag enabled with value 101, use your plusnet network login & account password & all should be fine. Even if you have a static IP address you can select dynamic.
