2860 with relaxed modem settings firmware? was created by laughingjon
Hi All
Just bought one of these routers and was hoping to use a similar firmware that I used on my 2820 which is for low quality ADSL lines. However, the modem codes available don't mention this ability for the 2860.
For reference my internet is approx 2.0Mbps.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Many Thanks
Jon

An update based off a call to Draytek support. Adding here to share with others who may stumble across this thread.
Please note that this thread is relating to low quality ADSL connections not infinity etc.
Install the non-vector firmware
Once installed and running click
WAN -> General Setup -> WAN1 (adsl connection)
From this section you can now configured modem codes. (DSL Modem Codes)
So far the "default" configuration with the non-vector firmware is performing much better for me (not disconnecting every 30 seconds). However, Draytek support suggested trying the others from the drop down if I did continue to experience issues.
Hope this helps someone
Thanks

Another update, so far this is not going as well as I had initially thought. The connection will not remain stable during the day.
Does anyone know which of the following two codes are the most relaxed?
Default
AnnexA_548006_544401
AnnexA_560816_552011
My net connection is not stable at all and I am really concerned that this unit simply will not be able to do the job I need of it without access to the "relaxed modem code firmware" that other units appear to have.
I have tried all of the above and nothing appears to be working yet.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks
Jon
