Vigor 2820 DNS over VPN was created by abbeyyarmton
Afternoon all
I am having some issues getting LAN DNS to work over my VPN on my Vigor 2820. Currently I have set up the PPTP VPN connection and I am able to connect to it. However LAN DNS resolution over the VPN does not occur as the VPN clients are picking up my ISP's DNS servers - Sky.
I have read tonnes of articles and made amendments to the LAN DNS and in particular ticking the box to force the router to use this DNS address.
No matter what I do I can not get DNS to work over my VPN.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Setup:
Vigor 2820 with PPPoA - Dynamic IP.
Dynamic DNS account set up with No-IP as I have a Dynamic IP with Sky.
WAN DNS is pulled from Sky
LAN DNS - I have tried every combination including setting the router as the DNS, leaving it blank and both with the box ticked.
I know the VPN works as I am able to ping and remote onto devices via IP.
Thank you in advance.

are you running the pptp VPN on the 2820 itself of from a client machine?
