Some stats seem to only reset if they're cleared at the ISP end. I believe that the far end stats are reported by the MSAN, so it's only if a reset on the port at the MSAN side is done that it would clear those stats. I'm not aware of a command to reset the local stats, but a router reboot would clear them and anything you see still there after the router reboots and obtains synch is data retrieved from the MSAN.

hmmm...seems rather strange as on every other router I have owned it has been possible
The ones I wanted to clear are the errors (caused after I disconnected the line to move it)
I have tried a factory reset but they remain.......I believe the far end DSL stats are cleared / reset when the router is discomnected / reconnected
