Vigor2830 - dns server ip address is wrong on PC was created by ruraldev
Hi
I am sure this will be a simple fix but I can't find out my error.
I have a router on 192.168.2.1 but when I check the ipv4 dns server in the connection properties it shows 192.168.1.1 and therefore the PC never gets proper IP server addresses.
I have checked everywhere in the router setup and I can't find 192.168.1.1 mentioned anywhere.
192.168.1.1 is the other end of my vpn.
I have manually set the dns servers on the computer until I find the solution.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Gordon

Hi
I am getting intermittent non availability of the network/internet.
I have 4 hardwired PCs .. any one can simply stop accessing the network then I kcheck and see no ethernet traffic on task manager, but others are working oK. Then leave it a while .. perhaps it starts up again, OR unplug the patch lead to the Vigor and bingo .. problem solved again .. anyone any ideas
Here are my settings but I am no techie
IPV4 192.168.1.11
Sub mask 255.255.255.0
IPV4 default 192.168.1.1
DHCP server 192.168.1.1
DNS server 194,72.9.38
194.74.65.68
