2860n crashing with 4G dongle was created by adriandaz
Hi, I have got a Huawei E3276 4G dongle as a test and backup attached to the 2860. If I set a Load-Balance/Route Policy route policy to send traffic from a specific range out of the 4G adapter the router crashes and reboots.
The adapter is set in PPP mode and the load balance policy is force NAT.
Anyone else found similar to this? I have reported it to Draytek support.

Using latest firmware? Try using a powered hub if modem uses too much power. Send telnet debugg msg to support.

Just thought I'd add an update:
After sending a few details to the Taiwan support guys they have come back that the huawei E3276 is currently listed as only supporting DHCP mode not PPP, although it does work in PPP (before the router crashes)
They are interested to find out why it crashes and have sent me a custom firmware which outputs many more details to syslog, which I have sent them, hopefully have a solution soon

The dongle seems to work fine with either PPP or DHCP mode with route/load policy when using USB2 (WAN4) port.
They are still investigating.

If you're using Ping to Detect As the "WAN Connection Detection" mode try switching to ARP mode instead.
The 2860 firmware is broken in this respect but ironically the same issue was resolved in the 2830 firmware update from some months back...

I had hideous problems with this. Turns out it was cured by moving the router to a location with better signal. The lack of signal was causing the router to crash and reboot. No idea why, DrayTek spent months on it and never worked it out.
