Vigor 2960 Failed EFM Connection was created by garvey2003
Hi,
We have just moved buildings and our old firewall (Vigor 2955) worked well with EFM. to help with the move we purchased an 2960 for the new location. EFM is live and working, added the settings but it's reporting to be down.
Just bought over the old 2955 firewall and did the same settings for the EFM and it connects fine.
Ideally we would like the new 2960 to work.
Any suggestions on this 2960 and efm connection issue?

Not a very helpful report... You've given no details at all.

Where is the problem... i.e. you mentioned "not connected" but where are you seeing that message?
Can the router ping the EFM modem (if it has an IP address or is it just PPPoe) ?

Try with the connection detect mode set to always on rather than ARP. Perhaps the device you're connecting to isn't giving ARP replies.

Problem resolved, Did a firmware update and now the EFM is working as it should.
