Lazy question was created by vernewcr
Sorry but I have a house full of kids demanding Internet access so could probably find this if I looked hard enough but our home hub 5 has just gone down and I have an old 2710n lying around. Doesn't seem to want to connect though
We upgraded to bt infinity last year and there seems to be some suggestion online that you cannot use the 2710n with bt infinity
Can anyone confirm if this is true
Thanks

Yes i can confirm
The 2710 is an ADSL modem only, which means will work only with ADSL line environment
See description in Bold black capital letters on top of the page
http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/legacy/vigor-2710
You need a draytek 2760n (cheapest option) & has very good wifi (i am owner of the 2760n)
See paragraph VDSL and ADSL compatible
http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/soho/vigor-2760
Or one of the 2860n, 2860n plus, 2860 AC
All mentioned have built in ADSL PLUS VDSL chipsets so you can use one or the other environment
Note BT Infinity, it is a VDSL Based service (FTTC)

Sorry ...
if you mean to use in combination with the Homehub (homehub as modem & the 2710n as router for wifi etc) again NO...
because does not support a second incoming wan
It's only wan port, is going direct to the built in adsl modem & can not be used to connect anything else apart direct to the phone socket
I am not sure if draytek will allow it via future firmware update to be able doing this, seems likely No because it's throughput/firewall is low/restricted to 24 mbps which means was build/designed (long years ago) for adsl lines only
but to make sure email the support
(they reply fast / by monday now)
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/techquery
Again the above modems/routers all in one 2760/2860 both supporting a second incoming wan port for cable/fttc/adsl
