2860n+ Load balance AND Failover was created by joelang1699
Is it possible to have load balancing on WAN1 & WAN2 AND for one to take over in the even of failure of another?
Would this happen as default if both connections are used in load balancing mode?
I would like to be able to utilise both connections concurrently and for one to take the traffic if the other is having issues i.e. WAN2 is Virgin Media and isn't terribly reliable.

Thanks but ive read all those without a definitive answer. Plenty of guides on setting up load balancing OR failover but not both concurrently or the behaviour of one WAN failure in load balancing mode.

when i had 2 lines (TT & VM) have ticked for protocol any so was loading balancing by default mainly to wan 1 for most use .. if one connection failed it did fail over within 10-15 seconds, if was watching a live stream will not notice it
If you tick enable (wan 1 & 2)and protocol any ... then it should the first wan which is on top of the list work continuously (example from the right you move it on top) it should always send all data to that wan ... if there is a fail over the second should take effect immediately
Alternative can move the wan you need on top and tick only that for sending all traffic there ... if is failover still the second wan should have effect immediately ... that is since last year my last use when i had 2 connections ... it should be the same
