2925 dual WAN rules help was created by acharris76
I've managed to set up the Vigor 2925 to work with VirginMedia and BT Infinity. At the moment I've got Virgin always connected with BT as my backup, only connecting if Virgin goes down.
On my home network I've got an IP camera for security purposes.
What I really want to do is have the IP camera always connected via BT and everything else via Virgin with a failure rule for either WAN to the other.
Any suggestions as to how I can achieve this?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tips.
It all looks a little complicated, particularly as the camera is on the same LAN as everything else.
Maybe what I need to do is set up a route policy that directs the camera to WAN2 from the FAQ link you posted and just turn off the backup rule I already had in place for WAN2 so that it is only connected if WAN1 fails.
But that will only work, I guess, if I can set the router to send everything else to WAN1 unless WAN1 has failed and then to WAN2. Does the router do that automatically or will I need to set up another rule.
Sorry! Its all a little much for me, but I'm trying to understand!

Hi acharris76,
I've just purchased a 2925ac as the Virginmedia Hub2 wireless just keeps on locking up after extended periods of use so, after a number of replacements I gave up and thought I would go down the route of using it purely as a modem. I seem to be struggling setting up the 2925ac, can you give me any pointers as I am new to DrayTek products. I also have an AP900 which I would like to use as I have some hardware in a different location in my house that I would like connected over wi-fi to the 2925ac.
Asking a lot I know, but was hoping that there might be a (basic) easy setup just to get me going!!
Best regards,
xsiv

I'd love to be able to help but in the end I gave up and the draytek kit went in the drawer!
If my internet goes down, I simply swap some cables over. Not quite as high tech as I had hoped but at least it works!
