Do DrayTek routers block SSH by default? was created by instore
Hi
We distribute devices to customers that for the vast majority of cases are just plug and play. I've noticed that DrayTek routers are in place when we have most of our problems. Our devices are made to automatically contact our server and update themselves every 24 hours and use SSH (22) and HTTP (80) to do so.
I'm wondering if this is the default behaviour for the DrayTek range and if something needs to be changed during the installation?
Thanks

DrayTek routers support SSH for CLI access to its management. If remote management is enabled [System Maintenance] > [Management] then it might block things as it could expect that the request is for itself so will apply the ACL rules etc. A work-around would be to change the SSH port on the DrayTek and retest, this probably requires a reboot of the unit to take affect.
