2860 with ap-900 VLAN config was created by olly66
Hi,
I've got an AP-900 connected to a 2860 by a cat5 cable and all works fine, connected to the internet and I even got RADIUS working using the RADIUS server in the ap-900 so all is fine. I have enabled vlans on the ports of the 2860 and all works fine too i.e plug a pc into port 2 and I get an IP from the 192.168.2.x range etc etc.
BUT I want to have two ssid's on the AP-900 on two different VLAN's but I am unsure how to proceed. So I have tagged the one ssid on the ap-900 with a 20 and on the VLAN page on the 2860 I've added 20 to the row which has the VLAN2 part....if you know what I mean. Now if I connect to the ssid tagged 20 I don't get any IP address as all just the apipa one. Am I doing something wrong?
I'm new to this VLAN stuff so any help would be appreciated.
TIA
Olly

What port is the AP900 plugged into?
You need to make that a hybrid port so it carries tagged and untagged packets if you have SSID on default VLan and VLan01 is Tagged dot1Q

the port that connects the AP900 needs to be ticked (in the LAN section) for both VLANs.
If you are using the Default (management) Vlan for SSID one then you don't need to enable the Tag just for the 2nd network.
