Vigor 120v2 LAN MTU was created by jmann
Hi forum.
Does anyone know if it's possible to increase the LAN interface MTU above 1500 on the Vigor 120?
I'd like to increase it to 1508 to match the connected host's interface, so that I can pass 1508 byte PPPoE packets containing 1500 byte IP packets to the Vigor.
My ISP supports 1500 byte IP packets over PPPoA and it'd be a shame not to be able to make use of this with the Vigor.
Thanks.
JM

I don't think is possible because as far i know ( i can be wrong) with PPPoE & wan at drayteks is up to 1492
You can try the telnet command wan mtu 1508
For lan MTU no idea, maybe this can be done at the pc & for the modem if accepting jumbo frames?
I have a suggestion for reading here (fist link at wiki) about MTU but did not had time yet

Thanks for the reply babis3g.
I've been through every single command available through telnet access, but there doesn't seem to be anything for adjusting the LAN MTU.
I guess I'll have to live with my IP packets being chopped down to 1492 bytes.
