Cure my senior moment please. was created by kirton
I have a problem with wireless devices (only tried Androids so far). They do not connect with the internet.
I have an AP-900 connected to a 2820 router which in turn is connected to an Openreach fibre modem.
Ethernet connected devices on both the 2820 and the AP-900 connect ok.
The question is, Have I got something setup wrong on the AP-900 or is it likely to be an Android problem?
The firmware is 1.1.4
Help!

I am getting there.
LAN A configured as a DHCP client works well.
LAN B for the second ssid not so good. Wireless side is fine but I cannot get an internet connection from the 2820 gateway 192.168.1.1
The AP-900 is 192.168.40.1
I thought I should make the AP a DHCP Server with its own ip range of 192.168.40.40 to 192.168.40.140 and a gateway of 192.168.1.1 obviously I was wrong. No connect.

Hi, why you just not enable SSID 2 for guests at LAN A? i think that means one ethernet only to the AP
Do you need Both Lan A & B?
How ever perhaps your issue is with the range
also if the 2830 has 192.168.1.1 then the AP 192.168.1.2, then if you did created an other sererate point maybe try its ip at 192.168.1.3? & not 192.168.40.40?
Perhaps if you did 192.168.40.40 then maybe the gateway is 192.168.40.1?

kind of fixed.
created a ported VLAN on the 2820 connected to LANB of the AP-900. Set the the second DHCP server of the 2820 to IP usage and the RIP protocol to second subnet.
In AP I set the second LAN to DHCP client.
it all works.
BUT, I cannot now access the web of the AP and the IP range for both LANs are the same.
Any ideas about the two buts?
