passwords for individuals was created by kirton
Hi Folks,
This probably very easy but I cannot see how to do it.
I want to assign a password that will give individuals internet access. Is there a way to do it on an 2840?

i am not sure but check at System Maintenance >> Admin Setting, if is anything you can do
If you mean for wifi then go at Wireless LAN >> General Setup, ebable SSID 2, name it ... then at Wireless LAN >> Security Settings, preshared key set a different
With this way guests will have their own network and different key
You also can at Wireless LAN >> Bandwidth Management, SSID 2 to set speed limit for the internet if they downloading a lot

Thanks for your help.
What I need is just to limit internet access by password. There is no WiFi on that router.

Sorry ... If not one reply to your original question i have an other alternative
i am not sure if this can be done, but what you can do is register their devices via bind ip to mac (see normal mode)

then use session limit, bandwidth limit or via firewall to set up rules via their register ip
