2850n Wireless Issues was created by jmutton
Hello there,
Model Name : Vigor2850n
Firmware Version : 3.6.6.1_232201
Build Date/Time : Jun 18 2014 15:58:48
I'm currently running a Draytek 2850n with a BT Modem (vDSL) connected via the WAN2 port. After about a day of it running the wireless stops working on the Draytek. It saids that my wireless devices are connected but no data is being sent or received. The only way I can get the wireless to work is to restart the router or to change the wireless mode under 'General Setup' under Wireless LAN. When I connect my devices via my AP-800, they work fine.
This is getting VERY annoying as I'm having to do this many times a day.
Anyone have any suggestions?

if the devices stay connected to the wifi network but not data it may be a dhcp issue
try 1 or the other way or both
lan>bind ip to mac
http://www.draytek.co.uk/archive/kb_vigor_dhcpfix.html
give each device a static (a specific) ip
lan>general setup>details page>DNS Server IP Address ... & add your isp manually, you may need go back again lan>general setup and tick the small box "Force router to use "DNS server IP address" settings specified in"
give a go to see if will solve your issue

Hi,
The devices are staying connected.
I'm already using bind IP to MAC and I'm using Googles DNS servers, which has been forced using that setting you mentioned.
I've just dropped down the security level down however all of my wireless devices are mostly fairly new smartphones (HTC One X) so I reall can't see that being the issue.
I have a very funny feeling that it has something to do with the BT Openreach Modem.
Thanks,
Jason
