How to combine use of 2710 and 2930 was created by eddscott
I have a 2710 and a 2930 at home. The 2930 was used in work with a 120 but the 120 seems to work when it wants to. It has been returned once but still just as flakey.

Seems a shame for the 2930 to just sit doing nothing and I have the 2710 at home. Is there a way to use both together? would there be much point? My house is Cat6 wired to a patch panel in a cab under the stairs.

about the vigor 120 if i was you ... i would give a master reset, then load one more time the latest firmware using rst file (choose any modem code or the STD)

The 2710 can use it at bridge mode as modem (exactly what the vigor 120 does) & connect it to the 2930 via PPPoE and then the 2930 do the routing work OR i think you can use the 2930 as wifi repeater (have not tried but if you do a google search few posts will come up) via Wireless LAN >> WDS Settings at both units (the 2710 must not be at bridged mode)
