Telnet/SSH access was created by dcnice
I have a Vigor 2750 and the other day I decided to telnet to it so I could set the DNS suffix that was sent out with DHCP.
I was expecting a prompt for my password. What I got was a prompt for username and password. I can log in with both root and admin, however I do not get the usual Draytek interface, rather full access to the system.
Can someone please tell me how I can get the regular interface?
I have just upgraded to 1.5.3 from 1.5.2 in the hope that would fix it, but it did not.

Many thanks.

Dave

that router is openWRT based so you've got full shell access, you'll need to read up on the openwrt help pages to change the dnsmasq.conf if I remember right:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/dhcp - this one's good
general stuff about dnsmasq - http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/dhcp.dnsmasq

You need to use vi to edit those config files via telnet.

it's been a while since I've dealt with an openWRT router but you can do loads with it :)

Thanks for he info. Nice to have root access, however the limited interface on the other models I have owned was also nice. Will have a play about tomorrow I think.
