Cannot change date 2960 was created by sponge
We have just bought a Draytek Vigor 2960 and unable to change the date.
We intend to use this for SSL VPN and logging so having the correct date is crucial.

Latest firmware (1.0.6.1) does not fix:

Model :Vigor2960
Hardware :1.0
Firmware :1.0.6.1
Build Date :2013-04-12 15:23:24
Revision :2114

It appears you have to set the date via NTP and cannot set it manually.

I couldn't set the correct date on mine until a WAN connection became active, then it picked it up.

thanks but...

Options are to update time/date via NTP or Browser ONLY (I have tried both and rebooted several times). WAN has been up for 5 days.
Neither update the date, only the time. The time on the router is correct.

FYI: NTP does not update date, only time.
Current System Time : Sat Jan 1 00:02:37 UTC 2011 Should be todays date

Hmm, weird, mine updated fine from NTP, eventually

I've had a look again, and it seems can manually configure the date and time, but using telnet

Login, then use the following commands

enable
configure system
ntpclient manual

I also seem to remember, to get it to pick up the date/time via NTP, I had to click Apply on the settings once the WAN was active.

If I just left it after configuring in an offline environment, it didn't do anything.
