Bug Alert: 2850 Firmware 3.6.4 - Port Forwarding vs. SSL VPN

I have stopped using the 3.6.4 firmware. As reported elsewhere in this forum, 3.6.4 breaks DNS TXT lookups, which now time out (other lookups, such as 'ALL' or 'A' seem to be OK). Our in-house email anti-spam proxy (ASSP) uses TXT lookups for its SPF processing, and as soon I put the 3.6.4 firmware on our 2850n, those lookups started failing and our spam levels increased.

Thanks for the post as I was having exactly this problem. The 3.6.4 also seemed to have introduced slowness in my internet connection that was there with 3.6.3. MIght try with SEG_UK version

Hi changing modem code (with 3.6.4) will not fix the dns lookups or port forwarding issues is been reported ... but for the speed maybe
I see (with 3.6.4) there is a new modem code 252901 ... give it a go ... i will as well later

Hi Babis3g,

Did you try the 252901 firmware and did it cure the problem for you. Would be interested to know the changes in this version.

Just a polite request ... please don't turn this thread into something other than its original subject. While a discussion about modem codes may well be useful to some, it only detracts from the subject at hand and will end up wasting the time of those people expecting to get assistance on port forwarding issues. Thanks.
