Hi - Seems odd - I have a 2130Vn and it took a while to get up and running but then the VSS started working - I did assign a static local IP bound to the MAC but other than that nothing special. I was thinking of upgrading my 2130Vn to an all in one Draytek modem router so would be good to know if you managed to fix the problem....I am also on BT Infinity as an underlying provider by the way.....

Hi,
I can confirm the VSS does 'not' work on 2850Vn.....

The response from DrayTek is:

Hello,

I can advise that support is being investigated for the 2850 to support use with the Sure Signal over PPPoE. I do not have a time frame for when this will be available.

IRegards,

Karl

Vodafone Sure Signal v3 working fine on my 2850vn. Take a look at my post on the Vodafone forums here http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Version-3-VSS-Draytek-2850-and-Fibre-Broadband/td-p/1522238
Hope it helps.

Hi,
Thanks for your post.

However - I have checked my settings again plus DrayTek Tech support confirmed the VSS will not work with the 2850VN.

I have the Firewall 'DOS' unticked & disabled plus no ports opened - have checked & my settings match as in your link.

All the VSS lights are green - and call are routed via the VSS & phone shows 5 bars, what does not work is any 'internet' access which is fully blocked.

Thanks,
T

Hi,

Correction - I think I have it working.....

All I did was UNTICK
-- Enable Strict Security Firewall [Firewall > General Setup]
-- Accept large incoming fragmented UDP.......... [Firewall > General Setup]

This seems the reverse of your recommendation but worked for me -

I am not sure the impact on other devices or the overall implications of unselecting these options - but all phone function through the VSS is now working.

Anyways - Big Thanks for your suggestion which inspired me to work harder at this.

Cheers,
T
