How to expand DHCP on 3900 was created by lindes
Hello,

I'm new on the forum and user of Draytek product. Excuse my basic English.
I have a 3900 (latest firmware) running on our museum and we become short on IP addresses. Actually the router is on default IP 192.168.1.1 /255.255.255.0.
I would try to expand the subnet to 255.255.254 or 255.255.253 but I have doubts on how to do it. Could someone help on this configuration ?
Thanks in advance

Manuel

Hi
Assume you are on a 10.0.0.0/24 right now then you have a host range of 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.254

You could change to a /22 which would give you a host range of 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.3.254 255.255.252.0 (1022 hosts)

If that is too many then go to /23

As long as the scope options are correct on the DHCP server then the Draytek should handle it
