Hello,

I have a web mail server installed on and accesible port 81 of one of our servers at work.
I can access it locally 192.168.23.100:81
I have a 2600 plus on a fixed IP which I can contact from the internet. I have allow management from the internet enabled.

I have opened port 81 in the NAT setup>Open Ports Setup for the IP address of the server.

I have tried redirecting port 8082 to port 81 by using the port forwarding facility:

Public Port 8082, Private IP 192.168.23.100, Private Port 81 and enabled it.

I assumed that meant if I typed the fixed external IP address of the Draytek (213.35.xx.xxx) follwed by :8082 it would send the request to 192.168.23.100:81
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to. I get a no data received page in chrome and just a completely blank page in iOS safari.

Can someone kindly point out what I've missed?

Thank you.

Couple of things

1. I assume the gateway of the Server at work is set to the IP of the Vigor 2600
2. Is the port open in the firewall of the server?

You don't need to open the port and use redirection, its one or the other.

Alan.

Hi Alan,

Many thanks for the reply.

Yes the gateway of the server is pointed to 192.168.23.101 which is the IP of the 2600
I *assume* the port is available as I can access the web mail server from another machine on the network. HOWEVER, I can't get the page to show on the machine it is hosted on! That's something I just can't explain. I can get to the web admin screen which is served on a different port (8089) but not the web mail which is on port 81.
