2920n slow upload speeds was created by scottee
Has anyone had this issue, or know the solution

I am connected with FTTC (BT infinity) and the upload speed via the Draytek router is about half what it should be

direct conection via the BT modem 67Mbs down 16Mbs up
via the router the upload is 5-8Mbs.

Using the latest firmware 3.6.0, QOS and firewall were switched off to try and fix it but still the upload is half what it should be
Bandwidth limitation is all off as well. the only think i ever changed was port redirection.

Is this a common fault of Draytek routers in this price range/age ?

hi thanks

yes already using PPoe , you have to to get it to work anyway at least on the zen/bt infinity network.

the conection works, i just only get HALF my upload speed.
also on the uk website the latest is 3.6.0.

Thanks again, I've read all that and my setup is fine,

I've sent a techincal support request, (we shall see it i hear anything). i've not upgraded to the very latest version as i think it's
more than this (thanks for giving me the links anyway) . The latest firmware i am using is jul 2012 and i can't believe this modem has not been tested before that date with
BT FTTC. So i just dont see the point in re-flashing it again.

My nextdoor neighbour has a netgear, same ISP and does not have this issue, so unless someon says "yeah we know what that fault is , this is the fix",
in the next few days, i'll be sending my draytek back for a full refund. Its not fit for purpose in my current setup.

Thanks for the help again, i do appreciate it.

ok finally got the help - maybe having a rant helped :D . I reflashed with the very latest version which was not on the website and finally getting
the upload speed i am looking for. Thank Drayek. i'll watch the speed for the next few days and hopefully it will be stable. My faith is restored.

Hi.
I have used a 2920n with the latest firmware on BT Infinity 80mb, and achieve an upload of ~16mbs.
The only thing I can think of, if you have tried all the previous suggestions, is that a setting in bandwidth management may be limiting your speed. Also- have you tried disabling QoS?
