2830 VLAN priority was created by itron
Hi,

I would be very grateful if someone could offer some advice!!

I have set up to VLAN's on my Draytek 2830 - one for my office PC's and the other for general use round the house via wireless.

This works fine. However, with my son reaching teenage years (and enjoying streamed music whilst doing prep!!) and living in a location with relative slow broadband, I would like to prioritise all traffic to VLAN 0 - my office VLAN.

From what I understand QOS would mean that I can prioritise certain traffic - but i want to prioritise all traffic to go to VLAN 0. So I looked at the priority column in the VLAN page. However, I am guessing that this will only work with a VLAN tag setup, not port VLAN? If it does work with port VLAN, which is the highest priority? The manual doesn't seem to say which is value is highest.

If as I suspect, I cannot use priority in the VLAN page, how would you suggest I prioritise all traffic to VLAN 0?

Many thanks,

Mark.

You cab proioitse the traffic from a certain subnet. IN in class A put in your office subnet and in class B put in your Son.
