Broadly speaking, if you order a new 120, then you are likely to get the V2 - I don't think the V1 is in production any more. There are different firmwares for each of the respective units, so be sure to get the right one.

If I personally had the choice, I'd go for the V1 as it does seem to be ever so slightly more reliable accross different exchanges/chipsets/ISPs.

maybe is better if you go to download page and see the release notes of both versions, latest firmwares...should state any improvements or changes

From my understanding v2 uses a newer version of the Infineon chipset so i would say v2 would be the one to go for. I've got a v2 on my TalkTalk LLU line and on a downstream attenuation of 29db, it syncs at just under 18.5 meg :D Whereas my old trusty Billion 7800N (broadcom 6358 chipset) synced no higher than 15.5 meg

My 2850n with TT (LLU) is getting maximum synchronise 15,something mb (SNR magrin) 29db
then is true the router (according to the chipest) depending the exchange,s chipest

For 2 years i thought matching router chipset to dslam (exchange) chipset was old wives tale so continued using my Billion 7800N...however after switching to the Draytek 120 / Cisco EA4500 combo, i really think matching chipsets will give you the highest sync possible. Also bear in mind that SOME TT LLU exchanges use broadcom chipset ( mainly ex-tiscali exchanges) so using an infineon router in such cases won't be ideal. In your case i would give the Draytek 120 a try, if no improvement then try a broadcom router such as Billion 7700N and use your Draytek 2850 in PPPoE mode only.
