3200 incoming mail problems was created by its_train
Hi all,

we have our 3200 setup, internet works fine, outgoing mail works fine, however incoming mail does not.

Current setup is:

ADSL line > Netgear DG834 > Draytek 3200 > mail server.

At the moment on our 3200 we have a static route added for our external IP to the IP of our mail server. However mail is still not being recived internally, have tried the Netgear in both modem mode and ADSL router mode.

Would I need to add a route from the Netgear to the draytek and then the draytek to our mailserver?

Any help would be most appreciated!

ITS.

Hello,

I would suggest putting the Netgear DG834 in to Bridge Mode - so your Draytek Vigor 3200 will handle the log in to your ISP, and then the public WAN details will show in the WAN status (rather than the netgears 192.168.x.x internally allocated IP)

Then I think you would just need some port forward rules on the 3200 - e.g. Port 25 to server internal IP.

Regards, Neal
