As per thread titile I have a Vigor 2930 I would like to use Smartmonitor with for a while. Firmware version is 3.2.1, which possibly has something to do with this...

The Telnet example commands on the Draytek site don't achieve the desired result.

I can log in via Telnet OK, and then:

port sniff on

This turns port sniffer on as expected. So far, so good.

port sniff port p2

This gives me:

% Valid subcommands are:
on off status

hmmmmm...

port sniff status

gives me:

Port sniffer is On

Good stuff...

port sniff txrx p1

gives me:

% Valid subcommands are:
on off status

Anyone see a pattern developing here ?

Trying another approach:

mgnt lanmonitor status

results in:

% Command missing, Valid commands are:
upnp ddns exit internet ip ipf
csm ddos urlf log quit srv
sys show mngt vpn wan wl
port wol portmaptime

So, assuming this model and version of firmware supports port mirroring for use with Smartmonitor, can anyone suggest an idiot's guide to resolve this ?

I don't want to go wading in with a best guess approach and I would rather avoid upgrading the firmware unless absolutely necessary.

LAN is on LAN port 2.

Smartmonitor will be listening on LAN port 1 (hopefully)

Thanks in advance.
