Vigor2820Vn & Static IP (Newbie) was created by mcclaw
I am a complete newbie when it comes to a static IP range.

My ISP has give me an IP range of X.X.X.121/29. How do I set up my 2820 & PC etc to use a static IP ? I have looked at http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb_vigor_2ndsubnet.html but dont really understand. Would the subnet mask been 255.255.255.248 as I have range of 8 IP's ?

With a static IP it'll automatically be applied even if you leave the dynamic setting - not sure if there's any merit in making it static anyway, but I'm sure someone in here will be able to comment?

To add extra IP's go to WAN > Internet Access > WAN1 (assuming you used WAN1!) > Click WAN IP Alias (you should see your initial static ip in there already) and add them in there - you should then be able to port forward or add static routes in the usual way - at least that's how it works on our 3100
