2850vn dropping SNR was created by funked_up
Hi all,

I have a 2850vn. My ISP is sky.

My stats are OK but intermittently (at least every 20 mins) my SNR drops causing a few hundred CRC errors each time. This is a real pain especially when connected to work (VMWare Client over VPN) and when on-line gaming.

I would normally conclude there is some interference on the line however, I do not see the same behaviour with any other router :( I would really like to use this router as it is the only one I have with a gigabit Ethernet which allows me to use my NAS effectively and I would also like to add VoIP (one step at a time though eh).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this helps anyone but I have also noticed that every time it drops I get this message in the WAN syslog

WAN1 PPPoE ==> Protocol:LCP(c021) EchoReq Identifier:0x2CMagic Number: 0x0 00 00 ##

"0x33" seems to increase with each log entry.
