There is a option PPPOE where a username and password is required, I shall try this tomorrow.

Thanks

Nooooooooo! You do not need PPPoE for a cable network. It won't work.

2900Gi/v2.5.6; 2900/v2.5.6

Hello!

I have the 50MB virgin connection and been using a 2820N for ages, well since released. Today I am playing around with a IPPBX2820 and they both work great on the VM connection.

Virgin Modem into WAN2
On General Setup, disable WAN1, enable WAN2
On Internet Access - WAN2, Static or Dynamic tab, enable this and leave the options as default - Obtain IP automatically, default MAC address, DNS server leave blank.
Reboot the Virgin modem - and keep an eye on the status page, the router will pickup a 192.168.100.xx address which is the local virgin modem address then a few seconds after it will change to your public address - when its got the 192.168.100.xx address you can click release/renew to do it slightly quicker.

I do notice that when you swap routers then you do have to reboot the virgin modem to get the connection back

hope that helps.

Did you add the mac address or did you leave that as well.
