Am trying to change VLAN settings. I can log on to the configurator and change the settings but when I press the OK button, Internet Explorer 8 notifies me of the following error on the page -

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Timestamp: Thu, 19 Nov 2009 14:47:21 UTC

Message: Object doesn't support this property or method
Line: 567
Char: 3
Code: 0
URI: http://192.168.1.1/doc/vlanrate.htm

and the changes are not saved.

I change all the security settings on IE8 but this doesn't seem to make a difference.

Please help!

Hi,

I am having the same problem - every time I try changing the settings on VLAN config page, then clicking the OK button, nothing happens other that IE stating "error in page".

I've cleared the 26000 settings to factory defaults and set my connection up again. Even tried reflashing the firmware - with no effect.

I have used this option before successfully some time ago - no idea why it isn't working now.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Try another browser. Firefox in safe mode is generally OK.

2900Gi/v2.5.6; 2900/v2.5.6

I tried chrome, and Opera (which is my normal browser) and had the same problems.

However, ran IE 8 with "compatibility mode" on for the page, and that seemed to cure it. VLan settings now saved successfully.

Fizban, well done. Compatibility mode solved it for me too, Vigor 2600 Plus.
