In Scots, it's generic term for a man (e.g. ‘Hey there, Jimmy!’ or 'See you, Jimmy).

In fact, there's even 'See You Jimmy' hats sold here (for fun, and indeed for tourists):



But any unambiguously pronounceable name would do; how about Fred? :lol:

I think if you start pronouncing the "eye" then it sounds like "Vyegore", then people are going to give you funny looks and probably laugh, so probably best to keep calling it as most people do as in: "Vigour"

Indeed James, but Draytek themselves pronounce it "Vyegore" which Is what prompted me to start this thread - but now I'm wondering how they pronounce Draytek - apparently the Egyptians pronounce "ay" as "eye" :lol:

I've always pronounced it Veegor

DrayTek : ay like "hay" though in German is it pronounced Dry-tek.

Vigor - Like Eye or Big, not not Veegor...
