call quality issue was created by kebabinho
Hi,
We have moved to a hosted VOIP solution. The only hardware we have on site is the Physical handsets.
We have a Draytek 2930, which all traffic into and out of the site use. i have set up firewall rules to allow the traffic for the VOIP solution to pass through.
We are having intermittent issues with calls where the person onsite is losing parts of the call, the sound drops and then comes back. the person offsite on the other end of the phone does not have any issues.
Am i missing something in setup? i tried adding QoS but it had no affect.
If i set a phone in the DMZ settings assigning it its on public IP it never has an issue
there is nothing showing as blocked in the firewall logs
Thanks
Gareth

Have you checked for packet loss on your connection and how high your latency is? Are your VOIP handsets connecting via WiFi or ethernet? If WiFi check for packet loss between your devices and your AP(s) otherwise there could be packet loss and/or high latency on your internet connection
