I read this is meant to be solved in 3.5.9.

Hi Doctord - Been running fw 3.5.9 and confirm not to be the case with our 2820 ippbx. Even the emails on events has stopped working. As this is a live system with many options and port forwards etc I'm loathed to factory reset and start from scratch.

It's such a shame as the product has so much potential. Off topic but our Vigor 350 phone is dropping the odd packet and has to be rebooted to clear the issue (running latest f/w).
