Vigor 2862 - Not connecting to Zen vDSL was created by sandwich
Hi,
I have recently moved house and signed up with Zen for vDSL (80/20Mbps). I used to be with BT (40/10Mbps) at the old property where the Vigor worked fine. I have put in the Zen username and password, but it just won't connect, with or without a microfilter, however their own Fritzbox router connects fine immediately. Is there anything else in the DSL settings I need to change from the standard BT settings? I have tried it with and without the supplied ADSL password with no success. The Zen knowledgebase only refers to older Drayteks and ADSL, not FTTC.
Any help would be appreciated!

FWIW, this is what I have set on my Vigor 2860n, with a Zen 80/20 (60/15 :wink: ) FTTC connection:-
(The 'Ping IP' addresses are Zen's DNS servers)

You should make a couple of amendments:
- Mode -> PPP detect
- Protocol - PPPoE
Is the line live at your new address? You can't simply use the username/password from the old address, unless you've had the connection transferred over and it's live.

These are my (working) parameters, not the OP's. I can't actually remember why they're set that way - but they've been like that since Oct 2019.
What would making those changes do for me:?:

I was under the impression that the DSL modem settings were only "active" for ADSL mode - on a VDSL line it makes no difference what is set in there, PPPoA or PPPoE?
I tried "Ping detect" a while back - a potential downside might be using bandwidth on a metered connection?
