Help required with vipor 130 was created by welshwolves
Hi guys and gals,

I have just bought this modem in order to get online using a phone line upstairs.

I am a complete novice with such technology. Was told I could just plug in and start browsing as i'm a BT customer. Everything is plugged in as it should be. However, I can't get online using it. Could somebody please assist me? I can provide further information when I know what relevant information you need it order to progress.

Thanks,

Darryl

The (UK model) Vigor 130 is a modem, not a Router. I've got a feeling that's not what you had in mind...

The Quick Start guide is here: https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads/vigor-130/send/257-vigor-130/523-vigor130-quickstartguide

in the QS guide, they wrote:
The Vigor 130 comes preconfigured for most UK ISPs. Therefore, in most
cases you do not need to perform any setup of the Vigor 130 at all. You only
need to physically connect it (plug it in) and then configure your connected
router/firewall
. Your ISP username and password go into your router, not the
Vigor 130, which just acts as the DSL-to-Ethernet bridge

Haven't BT supplied a Router ?
