Vigor 130 stuck in TFTP mode was created by kryptical
Hello,
I got my Vigor 130 today, it started up in TFTP mode and constantly stays in that mode.
It will rapdily flash for 2 minutes, then all LED's go green, then they go off then ACT and DSL rapidly flash again (LAN as well if I have it connected)
I have attempted the BT firmware update which according to the tool went through succesfully but it still doesn't come out of TFTP mode.
Any ideas or should I just return it?
Link is to a 8 second video of the LED's
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2lncTKyS38&feature=youtu.be
Thanks for any help!
EDIT: Patched it multiple times until it randomly worked.
Sync speeds are lower than my BT hub and it disconnects every 5 minutes. I'll be returning it.

I wouldn't use the "tool" to upgrade firmware it isn't needed.

How else would I upgrade the firmware if I have no access via http or telnet?

You must have a device to connect the modem to. You should be able to simpy connect via 192.168.2.1.
If not , on first set up :
Connect the modem direct to your PC .
Create a PPOE connection on your PC.
Use these details :
Set a static IP on your PC of 192.168.2.10 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the gateway: 192.168.2.1
You should be able to access internet .
Now reconnect the modem to the router and try the Draytek GUI using 192.168.2.1
