Hi,

I'm trying to use the Vigor 130 with my Asus RT-AC68U router on Vodafone Superfast 2 broadband.
I was previously on Virgin Media.

On the RT-AC68U i'm using the asuswrt-merlin firmware v384.14_2.
Vigor 130 has firmware v3.8.4_BT and is at factory default settings.

When the Vodafone service went live I had the Vigor 130 connected to the dsl socket and turned on, at that time the 130 was not connected to a router.

I've just tried connecting it to my router.

In my router under the WAN settings I changed:
Connection type from Automatic IP to PPPoE
Authentication from None to 802.1x
Username and password the one supplied by vodafone ending in @broadband.vodafone.co.uk

Under the LAN settings, IPTV, I changed the Select ISP Profile to Manual Setting and changed Internet VID to 101.

Doing all of that, I had no internet connection. I was unable to connect to the Vigor 130 at 192.168.2.1 when it was connected to my router.

I've now plugged in the Vodafone router to the master socket and it appears to be working.

Could someone please help me get my setup working?

Update I now have it working.

I think it may have been to do with the order of how I was updating the settings in the router.

I reverted back to my previous Virgin Media settings and tried again.

This time I first changed the WAN Connection Type to PPPoE.
I didn't see the Authentication field.
I just put in my username and password and that was sufficient to get it working.

I didn't touch the IPTV settings part of the router.
