Connected 48V PSU to AP900 by mistake! was created by ollylat
Hi,
I have an AP900 AP and I accidentally plugged it into a 48V PSU. Now I plug the proper 12V one nothing comes on. No lights nothing. Does anyone know what I need to check for like which capacitor etc etc. I am competent with electronics.......but clearly i need some new glasses....
TIA
Olly

Any obvious Linear Voltage Regulators...
or 'buck' converter ICs in there?
These are points where you can check for 12V 'in' and 5V 'out' (probably!). Of course, what actually happened when 48V was applied was in the lap of the gods - I take it no 'magic smoke' escaped? ... i.e. there's no visible damage?
