There are no "settings" , the Vigor 130 is a modem only , it has no routing functions. Lag could be cables, the BT connection/distance to cabinet etc or even more likely your WiFi being affected by other devices in the area.
Your XBox will never work connected direct to the modem, it has to be connected to a router .
(BTW, you have posted in the wrong place so replies will be less likely, this part of the forum is only for issues using the forum software)

Thank you very much for your help, I’ll make sure I post in the correct area next time.
My Xbox is connected via Ethernet, so now I’m wondering if its a cable, is there any cables you would recommend?

Most branded Cat5E or above cables should be fine, you don't need to waste money on the expensive gold/shielded cables.
As your ISP is BT you can run line tests yourself.
https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/details
run the speed test, then use the "Advanced Tests" by entering your phone number.
You can also check what throughput OpenReach give for your line by using the DSL Checker .

Another good test site is nPerf which will give you a lot of information.

Finally you can also get insight by using the Ping monitor at ThinkBroadband
