Using Vigor 2862ac with fiber connection was created by dumbo
I have just moved to New Zealand from the UK and want to use my new 2862ac with Trustpowers Fiber service. Does anyone know if this is possible and what the setting are to configure this. I previously used SKY in the uk with no problems, I know this is a different scenario. Thanks

Hi Dumbo
Not sure if New Zealand have any special needs to get connected.
Normally if you have FTTP you would have a modem there and just connect the modem from your provider via LAN cable to your 2862.
The only problem is depending on the speed your ISP provides the 2862 can only have a throughput of 300Mbit/s.
FTTP can go up to 1 Gig. If you have that sort of speed have a look if you can get the 2927ac or ax in New Zealand and attach this to your provided FTTP converter. The 2927 doesn't have a modem
as none is needed if you have FTTP.
Should you have FTTC then you would need a router which you have the 2862 and you connect this as usual to the WAN.
Thx
