Nord VPN issues

Morning all.
I have a 2927 and have got it connected to NordVPN with no issues - and am routing correctly via load balance policies.

The issue that I am having is that network performance is so slow on Wifi connected clients.

My Wifi bandwidth drops from around 90mbps to less than 5mpbs.

On using wired connections MS Teams is unusable and drops connections 3 or 4 times in a 10 minute meeting.

This is obviously unusable.

Is this expected behaviour or is something wrong?

FWIW - when I have installed the native IOS app to my phone and am connected to the VPN I am getting the full wifi bandwidth.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

One quick option to check is, the ‘Hardware Acceleration’ for ‘IPSec’ I appreciate you’re using Nord but just in case.

I have seen this option slow a network down to a crawl before. If that option is enabled, try de-ticking it and test again.

Found the solution.
The DoS defence feature of the router was being triggered.
Clear the UDP Flood defence and all is well.
