Nord VPN with Draytek Router was created by tri
I was just wondering if anybody knows if draytek are going to up the length of their VPN L2TP Username and Passwords so it would be possible to use NORD again, as it appears they have changed their policy to only accept 24 character length credentials.
Cheers

I know there is a Knowledge based articule on how to use a String Object.
KB 7428 String Object allows administrators to enter more characters to VPN Server Host Name in LAN to LAN dial-out field
Not sure if the same could be used for credentials.

It appears that the string object route does not work as the password field probably sees the string object name ie."string.1.local" as its password and not a reference to a string object.
Hope this gets sorted soon as NORD have this on the router guide.
"During authentication, it is required to use our service credentials which are 24 characters long, while DrayTek's and EdgeRouter's firmware has a limit of 15 characters. As a cybersecurity product, we cannot risk shortening the length of the service credentials' character limit.
For that reason, we do not support these routers anymore."

I take it using a root CA certificate from NordVPN, as in knowledge base, KB 3571 IKEv2 EAP between NordVPN and Vigor Router, would not help as your NordVPN account password exceeds 15 characters ?
